Meet Some Of The Engleburns Team

Tracey Holland - Manager

Tracey started her career at the age of 15 when she started working in a nursing home as a junior auxiliary nurse.  After 8 years Tracey took on her first management role at the age of 22 and became the Registered Manager of the family run 9 bed care home.

In 1990 tracey progressed to taking over a then 21 bed home for the elderly and has guided the home through to its current form, a 76 bed specialist Dementia care home, employing 90 staff.

Tracey is passionate in providing her clients with the very best quality care possible and enjoys leading a team who have the same passion, she believes that at Engleburn there is a special bond between staff and residents which makes the home a very special and happy place to be.

Tracey understands that good community involvement is paramount to the happiness of the residents and the home. 

Louise Giltrap - Deputy Manager

Louise started her carer at Engleburn at the age of 18 in the position of health care assistant.  Louise quickly moved through the ranks completing her NVQ qualification level 2 and 3 and moved up into a senior position.  In 2000 Louise undertook her Nvq level 4 and moved up into a Deputy Manager position where she has enjoyed growing the home alongside the manager from 26 clients to 76 clients.  Louise particularly enjoys the aspect of her job which involves bringing new ideas to the home and continually improving the home and grounds for her clients to enjoy.

Hollie Taylor – Care Manager

Holly came to Engleburn for her first ever job interview when she was 18 years old in February 2008.  Hollie started as a junior health care assistant and loved her job, and the clients that she worked with and all of her team.  After lots of hard work and support from the management Hollie trained to become a senior carer and then worked her way up to a senior in charge.  Hollie completed her NVQ 2 in 2008 and went on to complete her NVQ 3 in 2010. Hollie continued to work hard and was promoted to head of care.  Hollie feels that she is hard working, loyal, trustworthy and kind hearted and Hollie particularly loves caring for those at the end of their life and ensuring that all of there wishes are met.  

Jenny Jones – Care Manager

Jenny joined the home in 2014 as head of care.  Jenny has previously worked in the community as team leader for domiciliary care, Jenny has also worked in the local general hospitals and has specialised in Diabetes care cardiac care and winter pressure care. Jenny was involved in transitional care from LBHU into the community and was the deputy manager of two local homes.   Jenny also took over the Hospital Discharge lounge and was responsible for coordinating care across the county, along side this jenny was the medication assessor for the NHS partnership trust.  Jenny has 26 years of experience within social care and cherishes the opportunity to make a real difference in elderly care.  Jenny holds a NVQ levels 2 & 3 and has a Diploma qualification in Team Leading. Jenny is a very proud mother and grandparent and loves socialising with others, Jennys hobbies include travelling and scuba diving.  

Sophie Cardy - Care Manager

Sophie Joined the home at the age of 16 as started as a junior care assistant. Sophie has worked within various departments and has qualifications in Paramedic Science as well as a teaching degree. Sophie worked her way through the departments and is now one of the homes Care Managers. Sophie holds a NVQ 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care. During her time with the home she has taken on various roles and continues to support all departments. Sophie has 2 boys, one of which works within the home as a domestic assistant. Sophie’s hobbies include cake and chocolate making.
